This 5-day course is part of the Executive MBA in Business & IT, however, it can also be booked as an individual Certificate Program. The course consists of a mixture of theory and practice – Professors and researchers from TUM and our partners provide the academic knowledge, which is then enriched with practical insights from the industry side. In addition, group work, discussions and personal development components enhance the learning experience.

The course is offered in the framework of the Executive MBA in Business & IT.

  • Application process: Please note: You will receive confirmation of whether you are approved to attend the Certificate program approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the course.
  • Admission Requirements: Participants must hold a Master's entry qualification (i.e. Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, Magister or “Staatsexamen” as well as at least three years of full time professional work experience. Initial leadership experience provides participants with further advantages.
  • Dates: September 1 – 5, 2025
  • Format: On campus – Limited number of participants.
  • Location: University of St.Gallen (Switzerland)
  • Assignment: To receive the certificate you will have to pass the assignment of the week. The exam consists of a group presentation during the week and a written assignment after the module. Subject to change.

      In some cases, we take the liberty of requesting proof of 3+ years of professional experience. We will keep you informed in case this would be necessary.

    • In general, modules start on Monday at 9am and last until Friday at 5:45pm. At least two evening sessions will take place. Further group work might happen in the evenings, as well. Preparation, such as pre-readings, and active participation in the course is expected. After successful application, you will receive a confirmation and an invoice. Please communicate the invoice address up front. Resignation is free of charge up to 30 days in advance, up to 14 days in advance: 50 % of the fee. After that, the full amount of fee is claimed. Applications are excepted until 4 weeks prior to a module start date. We reserve the right to cancel the modules, for instance if a lecturer is absent. We will take care to inform you about changes or cancellation of the course in due time. If the course has to be cancelled, we will reimburse you the cost of the program. Further claims are excluded, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. The Technical University of Munich reserves the right to take photos and videos throughout the course and use those on its webpages, social media channels and printed publications. By applying for this course, the participant accepts the above mentioned usage of imagery. Errors and modifications excepted. We will store your contact data in a CRM system in order to send you information about the program you are applying for. With this application, the applicant agrees that personal data is forwarded to third parties, such as the University in St. Gallen or our lecturers, only if it is necessary for the program’s operation.
