Practical Generation of Secure Randomness

Randomness is a crucial ingredient for security operations. On various operating systems we have thus dedicated random number generators which feed protocols like TLS with enough random bits such that secure communication is possible. In this Masterclass we will explore the properties of cryptographically secure randomness, the structure of modern random number generators and the use of randomness in real-world protocols.

After the Masterclass the new certificate program “Certified Cyber Security Specialist” will be introduced. While learning in a lab environment, participants of this program will be able to bring in individual cases to the program, interact with experts from different industries and will benefit of the extensive practical and research experience of two excellent academic partners Fraunhofer AISEC and the Technical University of Munich.
